2017: The Seed is Planted
As a runner, I always craved a post-run spoonful of peanut butter. But store-bought options, often packed with sugar and lacking flavor, felt like they negated all the hard work I put in. Fueled by my food technology degree and a passion for healthy eating, I decided to create my own delicious and nutritious peanut butter. My parents' kitchen became my test lab, and I filled Tupperware containers with batches of my peanut butter.
One day, on a particularly inspiring jog, the name 'nutshell' came up and was perfect for my start-up adventures!
2018: From Tupperware to Takeoff
I ditched the tupperware and started selling my peanut butter online, at farmers' markets, and local grocery stores in Lebanon.
2019: Branching Out & Branding Up
We brought on our first teammate - nutshell was a team effort from the start!
To expand our nutty horizons, We introduced delicious almond butters.
Feeling fancy? We gave Nutshell a brand new look.
2020-2021: Covid Can't Stop the Nutty Goodness
Nutshell adapted with safety-first measures to keep delivering healthy food to the customers.
We added a decadent cocoa hazelnut butter to the mix, because who doesn't love chocolate?
2022: Expansion and Factory Fun!
We exported to the UAE market
To keep up with demand, We upgraded the factory-bigger batches, bigger dreams!
2023: Nutshell takes Over!
We partnered with a top distributor, placing Nutshell in over 250 stores, including major retailers. Nutshell went mainstream!
