FAQs

Nutshell's FAQs!

What is the shelf life of your nut butters?  The shelf life of our nut butters is 18 months from the production date and you can find the expiration date printed on the label.

What is the storage condition of the nut butters? Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight and consume within 3 months after opening.

Do I have to refrigerate my nut butter jar after opening? We advise refrigeration for maximum quality and freshness but generally, there is no need as you can place them safely on the kitchen counter. Please, make sure not to double dip your spoon, after tasting, although you will be tempted to do so!

Why is there oil on top of my peanut butter jar? Nut oil separation in all our products is natural since we do not use any additives or stabilizers in our products. Please give the jar a good stir before consumption. Do not throw the oil away as it's very nutritious!

Why do you need honey and sea salt to peanut & almond butter? We add a dash of honey and sprinkle of sea salt cause we think it adds to the flavor!

What are the white dots/ threads on top of the Cocoa hazelnut nut butter jar? Please be assured that is normal and safe to eat. Coconut oil separation is natural since we do not use stabilizers or emulsifiers in our products thus it rises to the surface and solidifies especially when the temperature is cold. Give the jar a good stir before consumption.

Do you have any additives, preservatives, sugar, palm oil, hydrogenated fats, or trans fats in your products? No.

Are your nut butters suitable for vegetarians? Yes.
