What is the shelf life of your nut butters? 14 months from the production date. The expiration date is printed on the label.
What are the storage conditions? Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Once opened, consume within 3 months.
Do I need to refrigerate after opening? Refrigeration is recommended for maximum freshness, but not required. Keeping the jar on your kitchen counter is perfectly safe.
Why is there oil on top of my jar? Oil separation is a natural sign of purity. Nutshell uses no palm oil or hydrogenated fats to stabilize its products. Simply stir before use & don't discard the oil, it's nutritious!
Why are there white dots or threads on top of the Cocoa Hazelnut jar? This is coconut oil separation, completely normal and safe. It rises to the surface and solidifies in cooler temperatures. Give the jar a good stir before eating.
Why do you add honey and sea salt? A dash of honey and a sprinkle of sea salt enhance the natural flavor of our peanut and almond butters.
Do your products contain additives, preservatives, sugar, palm oil, hydrogenated fats, or trans fats? No. Nutshell products are free from all of the above.
Are your nut butters suitable for vegetarians? Yes.
