Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Healthy Oatmeal Recipe with Peanut Butter

What a great way to kick start your day with this delicious apple cinnamon oatmeal topped with our almond butter. A little bit of brown sugar just adds a touch of sweetness to the mix. This healthy oatmeal is loaded with flavor, fiber and protein making it a great meal before heading to your workout. 

INGREDIENTS
  • 45g oats 
  • 200ml oat milk or cow's milk
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 apple 
  • Almond butter 
  • Honey or maple syrup
METHOD
  • Cut the apples into thin slices and add them to a sauce pan over medium heat with a 1/4 cup of water and a dash of maple syrup or honey. Sauté  the apples until they are slightly caramelized. Set aside.
  • With the same sauce pan, stir in the oats, milk, sugar and cinnamon over medium heat until the mixture thickens. 
  • Pour the mix into a bowl and top with the apple slices and a dollop of almond butter.
